Last week, while Syrnia was down, I tried another online fantasy RPG called World of Dungeons. It's a free-to-play, browser-based game, although you can opt to become a member to gain access to more benefits sort of like with Runescape. Like Syrnia, WoD is text-based but it has more of an old-fashioned D&D sort of feel to it. No mining, smithing, woodcutting or anything along those lines...just straight-out dungeon crawling. You create and equip your character(or characters - you are allowed to create three as a free-player and can control two at once), then you join a group made up of PCs from other players and off you go in search of monsters to kill and treasure to collect!

I've only been playing WoD less than a week, but so far it's pretty good. Unlike with Runescape or Syrnia, this game really stresses cooperation between PCs in order to survive and conquer. However, for those die-hard PKers there is a dueling feature where your character can duel another player's character, either for points or just for fun. I've not tried that feature out yet. My character is one of a group of six and so far we are doing pretty well.

This game is still in beta, but so far it blows WoW and Guild Wars out of the water. It's music reminds me of Legend of the Dragoon, gameplay value of Final Fantasy 12, and graphics of Guild Wars. First of all it's a free online RPG. It has really good graphics for a free game. It has all sorts of things to do. You fight monsters for exp to lvl up, you also gain exp from normal quests. There is also quests called story quests which follows a whole storyline in the game, when you do the story quests you earn lifeskill points (which is what you need to level up in woodcutting, mining, etc). They have a whole sea commerce system worked out. Speaking of the sea you can build ships and go sailing and fight monsters in the sea and explore other islands. They have guild wars where you can sign up to have your guild fight against others. I could go on and on about the game but if it sounds interesting you should check it out. It's the only other online game I play besides Syrnia.

Well it's a mmorpg, though it isn't free it ain't expensive either. There's a 24h trial possibility (That's 24 hours you're actually logged into the game). In the game you start of as a visitor, at level 10 you can choose a job. There are 4 jobs to choose between: Muse, Soldier, Dealer, Hawker.
Each job has a possibility of choosing and advanced job:
Muse - Mage or Cleric
Soldier - Knight or Champion
Dealer - Bourgeois or Artisan
Hawker - Scout or Raider

Basicly it's something like... World of Warcraft, running around killing things having special tallents and such. But it's different because unlike in World of Warcraft, where you're maybe a huge ugly looking Tauren smashing around a huge hammer at a dragon. Here you have a cute little charracter, and you're smashing around cute little worms, bee's, turtles etc. You can have funny little cars, masks, wings... Well just check out the site to what more it's about...

The problem with the game is the community though. Since it's a game for all age groups, you stumble upon some immaturity now and then. The game ain't full of it however!

My friend Turock has developed a new game, called Dominion Siege. It's similar to Kings of Chaos (but much better). It's in beta right now but we already have about 30 players. Please feel free to join and actively create a cool new game with us. All the feedback will be taken into consideration for future game improvements.

I really like Movoda! It's second to this game, of course. Movo is very similiar to Syrnia. Nice how we can play Movo right alongside this game, at the same time. In fact, I open this game and Movo in two windows, then tile the windows horizontally so I can keep an eye on both games at once, and know when the bot check timer for each game ends and needs attention. In Movo ya just have to click one color, so that's very easy. I turn the chat off in there and just do the chats in this game. Funny to see how many of the same players there are in both games. lol When I get in a real multi-tasking mood, I scrunch Movo's window over about halfway, where I can still see the bot check, and go online to some other forums I enjoy reading, or play online bingo at the same time as Movo and this game too! aha..

I actually play Syrnia, Movoda and Tainted Empire all at the same time in three different windows. And Tainted Empire does not have the timer countdown and is not 'turn based'.

I was just looking for something else to fill my time while mining or chopping wood in Syrnia, and these two other games are simple and fill that time rather nicely. (In my opinion!!) Just in case anyone else is interested in something other than staring at chat. lol

A good game I think is Last Chaos. Sorry if anyone said Last Chaos yet. Anyway, It's a large MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game)
that is fun. It's hard to pick up at first, but soon you get into it. You can fly around on a dragon or horse at any level. It just costs money. Thats another thing, inflation. 20 million on there would be considered middle class. There you have it.

It's very good graphics and it's 3D, I'd say it's right next to WoW on funness. You must download it though. Look it up on google and you'll find the site easy.

Its a dark science fiction MMORPG, its very opposite compared to the easy boring word of warcraft, keep that in mind, trust no one, and conquer!
The game only one server for everyone, not hundredds of them like other MMO's, it means that you can truly create a legacy of your own and everyone can know about you which aint possible in other games. The server is closing in on having 40000 players online at peak times, with 30000 being the normal all around.
It is pvp game, not only by shooting each others for resources or control of space, but also on the market as it is entirely player driven. There are battles from solo pvp to fleet battles with thousands of players fighting it out for control over the 5325 solar systems (and more added all the time), expansions are free adding a TON (this is proper expansions) of content, very often something entirely new as well. There are no levels as the game is based on skills, both character and player skill, character skills progress in real time, even when offline, so there is no grinding or doing the same ting over and over, the only thing that might be considered a grind may be getting isk (money) but it really isn't once you know how, you can live of killing other people. Contrary to what you may have heard, a 1 day old player can go out and pvp, although solo pvp requires a little more training.

this game as other MMO's require a monthly fee though.

Edit: the game also has a very good community contrary to many other games. however the harshness and challenging nature of the game puts a great deal of people of. so you need yo like challenges.

Some games that I play are StarGateWars, based on the sci-fi series Stargate Sg-1. It is a text-based game where you can choose one of 4 races. You basically attempt to become one of the top players in the game out of the 70000+ players. Link: www.stargatewars.com

This is a pretty fun, addictive text-based game. Your goal is to have a powerful kingdom. What you do is level your person up. Once you reach level 1,000(doesn't take to long, toke me about an hour or two) you can start to build your own kingdom. I didn't see this listed anywhere, but it's a turn-based, text-based strategy game. You have 5 races, each with their own unique bonuses. You gain gold twice each turn (turn = 30 mins, gold every 15) and have to build up you army and fortifacations to aid you. You can sabatoge the enemy's weapons, recon them to se their stats, of just flat out attack them.

It's not a bad game, just a little slow with an age averaging out to about 6 months. Gets crazy sometimes, but I enjoy it.

Difficult game where you have to shoot portals to advance through the levels. I've gotten somewhere in the 40's before I got annoyed and left it. It's really hard the further you get in it. Make sure you turn the graphics to low the higher you get also, on Macs it tends to get really glitchy later on with the higher graphics settings.

My Quick Analysis:

It's a gardening game, where you plant and water plants and then harvest them, and you can sell them to customers or at the game market, there's also quests and other things, but i haven't done any of those yet, since i only started a few days ago.

There is a premium feature though, which probably means if you ever want to get anywhere you'll need to pay, but it doesn't really matter, it's nice little thing to pass the time.

First off what I want to say about this amazing game is it has the most outstanding player base, it is so kind and even when you first log in and are doing the "tutorial" you get so much help and it just feels like family- now on to how to get started!

Go to http://www.forlornonline.com/ This will bring you to the homepage. You will notice an "Account Login" option in the upper left hand corner of your browser, if you look a little down from that you see a "signup" button. Click it!

Choose your account name,
Under that box, pick your password, and type in your email address, and after this step Under the "how did you find us" Tab click lands of hope player. Then you notice this- Payment of a one time fee is required to advance above level 100 (payment is optional)< But one of the reasons I love this game...is you can make ingame money to buy HC (hope credits) . So basically you can make money in the game and buy this currency without spending any money in real life! This may take more work but if you can't pay in real life...this is a great alternative!
After you have done all there is to do on this page and filled everything out, click the terms of service box, and click signup! From here you get an email sent to the one you entered from before...Go check your email it should be there within a few minutes. Once you get it you get a conformation code so only people who enter valid email addresses can play. Then wahoo!! account is created and you can go log in on the main page! (upper left hand corner...remmember) You will need to download the game file before you can start playing however, do this on the main page on the left hand corner of the page click downloads and download the whole game file.
A few notes about this game.
The gamemaster is on EVERYDAY and chats usually atleast a few hours a day, neat right?
There is an idea center and the gamesmaster looks at ideas and a good majority (if they are good) are excepted for player voting...you can vote yes or no on an idea...and if yeses are the majority the idea is accepted! Just think you can come up with neat things to customise the game for your liking!
You can make 5 characters in this game....There are 18 realms total so far with 10,000 tiles a realm that is a lot of tiles right?
You can duel players, or pvp players. You can fight with pets aswell
There are 3 expansions so far ....there are like a new game all of itself there is so much information and to do in them

I've been working on a little game for a month or so. This is the first project that i've made since i started learning to program, so don't expect it to be brilliant or anything

Quick Description:

You work differently to other games like Syrnia and Movoda, you start with 100% energy and you can use energy to work on skills. It increases by 10% every 10 mins, so it doesn't take long to replenish it. I did it this way since it levels it out a bit more, so that people who can use the PC all day don't automatically have an advantage over other people.

It's still in very early development though, so things will change, be added, be removed, etc...

Yes I know it was stated earlier in the original post however I believe it did not get enough credit.

Cantr II is all about your character evolving into the greatest he/she can be. Strive to be the best (or worst) at what ever you can imagin. Sometimes just being the town goof is the most fun! There are no NPC's in game every character your character interacts with is another player. So you should not treat them as NPC's!

I suggest if you like actual RP then you should really look this game up. Start with only one character and if you don't like it just push the green X. He/she will die of a heart attack and get a good burial, usually.

Before you join please read the Wiki and/or join the forum and ask some questions. Join the forums especially if you like the game. We like to keep in touch with each other. It's difficult in game because of the CRB, but please join the forum!

Cantr is slowly loosing its english audiance and since english is all I speak I really don't wan't that to happen. Don't be turned off by a bad first couple days because I'll be honest may be a little difficult. Just remember if you keep in character then you'll have fun no matter if they live or die. I've had characters that were fun to get killed off only because of the characters personality.

Just a game i found today,its text-based and takes only a few minutes per day to play,there are only 1k registered so i assume its quite new.
