Boss Fight Times show a big gap between beginner and intermediate boss content. Right now we have only one “level 0” boss (Emma the Teacher) and the rest jump straight to level 1 or 2. This leaves newer or lower-combat players with nothing to bridge the difficulty gap.


Suggestion: Add “Level 0.5” Bosses

These would fill the space between Emma and Antha—something that teaches boss mechanics without the high gear or stats. Examples:

Stone Imp – requires 55 HP / 60 Def / 35 Att

Marrow Slime – absorbs food mid-fight; drops healing items

Rust Guardian – weak to low-tier mining weapons

Wind Hermit – dodging-based, teaches timing before true speed builds

These sub-level bosses would make bossing accessible to more of the player base, keep early fighters active, and create smoother progression before level 1+.

I imagine seeing some players fighting bosses all the time and having them completely out of your reach is frustrating. I think having some more options is a great idea.

100% agree, the gap between Emma and Kark is enormous. Have a boss option or two in between would provide something to more feasibly strive for for those around Emma levels.

Emma should be a 1 time fight as a quest boss. What business does someone that would die to normal game mobs have fighting a "Boss".

Also, saying that they "would teach boss mechanics".. its just read, and check if you have the required stats... idk how difficult that is to comprehend.

Sure, add a lower level boss, but only after bosses are fundamentally reworked to be able to be accessible by everyone at any time of the day that's convenient to them. People have jobs and school and other responsibilities and all live in different time zones.

The idea of bosses is to create incremental step challenges.

Emma should just be a one trick pony to be fair as she is just the beginning of bosses that opens up availability for the "proper" bosses.

I genuinely think the bosses should switch up their skills to be honest to create more variation.

For example let's use Kark:

Week 1:
Shield breakages make you vulnerable to leaving you at 1 hp with a crippling hit.

Week 2:
Helm breakages make you vulnerable to leaving you at 1 hp with a crippling hit.

Week 3:
Karkinos uses his special more often, breaking shields and plates more frequently.

Week 4:
Karkinos has increased health & increased damage, and has all the affixes of the 3 prior, but greater rewards.

Similar pros and cons can be brought in for the others.

Additionally I am with the majority regarding spawns. They should be individual resets, rather than overall reset.

Can someone explain what individual cooldowns are and how they would work? Does this mean bosses would no longer be group events?

All it is Greensky,
If a group takes them down they have to wait x hours.
If they take the boss down, i can still fight them since im not on a cooldown with players that already killed.

All it does is let anyone and everyone fight them at their convience, not a set time or missing out.

Kark and Antha have been fought a lot at 03:30ish. A lot of other times, it is hard to get a group together at that time. I never see any interest or participation from Raw at that time.

The regular time that is usually settled upon is 14:30ish, not 06:00 to 10:00.

Activities that are left up to the community to decide participation times are always a terrible idea in these games, it's surprising that bosses were added in this way when this is so broadly obvious across the genre.

It always leads to an "in-group" deciding their preferred times, and shouting down anyone else who can't join at those times. It's obvious that this mechanic will not stop causing this problem, it desperately needs fixing before any more bosses are added.
