Wow, this year has been incredible. The time has really flown by for us in the development team! We are hopeful that this update brings some excitement and joy to the community as we reflect on 2024 and look forward to 2025.
Reflections on 2024
This time last year, we discussed how the new processes had been put in place. We had hoped they would enable us to provide quicker and more regular updates to Syrnia. A year on, and we feel confident that they have provided us the speed to release more stable, regular updates.
Secondly, we launched the new server in April, and have been very happy with the performance improvements this has brought to the game. This has been a fantastic step forward in Syrnia development, and it has given us the platform to look ahead at new features and content releases.
Thirdly, I want to look at bugfixes, as we have been able to provide over 300 bug fixes this year! Some of our highlights are:
Lastly, I want to look at new content over this year. We feel this has been a great area of improvement and are happy with the direction this has taken. Some of our highlights are:
Lumara
This is where most of you instantly scrolled to, eh? Well we would love to share some exciting details with you today! We are aiming to launch Lumara Q1 2025, with it coming to the PTR a few weeks ahead of launch to help us iron out any bugs / issues with it.
We want to acknowledge that this may be disappointing to some, as it will feel like the new content is being spoiled before it even reaches the live game - but we feel getting the polish right with this launch is important. The PTR really helped us have a smooth launch of the new server, and we’re going to rely on it to help us have a smooth launch of Lumara too!
As we get closer to this time, the PTR will be taken offline momentarily - so we can re-sync it with a copy of the live game, this will allow us to have higher confidence in what we release to live & it will allow more of the community to jump in and help test. We will announce the launch of Lumara to the PTR closer to the time, please keep your eyes peeled for the news update!
Progress: 95%
Pirate Overhaul
All work over the past couple of months has been on bug fixing and Lumara, there hasn’t been any further progress made here….yet. As soon as Lumara has launched, a lot of development time is freed up, and we can make good progress on this project. I want to stress that Pirate Overhaul is a key goal for us for 2025. We have not forgotten, and we will continue to work on this to get pirates the update that is coming!
Phase 1 Progress: 50%
Brewing
Similar to pirate overhaul, brewing has had little progress made since the last update. As soon as Lumara has launched, a lot of focus will be on pirates and brewing to get these delivered. We will keep the community updated as to any progress made in the next roadmap update!
Other Projects in 2025
We would also like to touch upon some other projects coming down the pipeline that we're excited about, but not quite ready to share the full details. These include modernising the home pages, more bosses and post lumara content!
Final Notes
Our goal for 2024 has been to focus on player retention, to address this we have wanted to add new content for players of all levels with things like Daily Rewards, AC6 and Lumara coming imminently. We feel this has been a successful mission, and have been very pleased with everything that has been released.
We would like to add that we are dedicated to the long term strategy of providing improvements to Syrnia. This includes a myriad of other things as well as the major 2 topics listed above. Whilst we don’t touch on them directly we would like to mention that work is still on-going for these other projects.
Whilst we don’t always hit the mark, or are slower to provide content/fixes than we want. We hope this provides an outlook on where we are, and where we want to be!
Thanks,
The Syrnia Dev Team

Thirdly, I want to look at bugfixes, as we have been able to provide over 300 bug fixes this year! Some of our highlights are:
- Technical limitations around clan SHs have been lifted, and we can now enable clan SHs at new locations!
- Switching between F1M and Fight All now registers the last click correctly.
- Shops no longer destroy items accidentally.
- Boss fights no longer cause server wide lag.
- Fighting a dragon at dragon spawn time no longer throws you into the next fight automatically.
- Grotto timer now remembers where you left off, and special tools can be used at grotto to provide a timer reduction.
Lastly, I want to look at new content over this year. We feel this has been a great area of improvement and are happy with the direction this has taken. Some of our highlights are:
- New gems added to bosses!
- New boss!
- Trading & Construction have been revamped!
- New Fishing Tool - Harpoon!
- A New Arch Caves (AC6)!
- Daily Login Rewards - a new feature to unlock something each day!
- Release Notes are now far more prominent and easier to read/find!
- New Force Botcheck donation option!
