Heya guys, a simple idea for you. I think it would be good to announce the Battle Mages an hour before they are due to occur, and then another announcement at 30 mins, 15 mins, etc. I think this would help to make them more active

Maybe just half an hour before, but this would certainly -really- help! One announcement a BM gets my vote

There was/is a forum thread that automatically happens to update Battlemage fight times.

I know that the forum is there, but it doesn't really advertise itself that well. If a bold line of red text came in the chat, announcing the Battle Mage, people are more likely to take notice. You can have both systems, I am not suggesting for the slightest to get rid of the forum announcements.

Or there could be a new chat channel for the BM schedule. And people who don't want to see it could disable it like they can now.

i wouldnt want the announcement in public chat, unless there is some way to turn the announcement on. most players arent interested in the bm.

have them as an option to turn off in the chat settings and I am all for this, it is like most other things including [0] there is a lot not interested in it

Well first off the battle mage needs to be fully working beforehand, but yes once it actually works I wouldn't mind seeing an announcement in chat for it(no need for a new chat channel for it, announcements are displayed in world), option to turn off announcements would be ideal/option to specifically on/off types of announcements works as well
