This is one of the hardest posts I have ever had to write. It is with a very heavy heart that I share with you all that Maranda passed away on Thursday. Maranda was the wildest of us wild ones! She always had the ability to cheer you up, even though she was going through the roughest times. Maranda was my friend, my go too in times of need and always loving, caring and there for me when I needed her! I will miss her deeply as I am sure everyone who ever got to know her will too.

Maranda's Loves:
I love quiet moments, when your mind is lost in thoughts that seem to echo off still waters.

I love how the wind will gently caress you on a hot day and rush you to shelter on a cold one.

Watching birds catch waves upon the wind.
And how a cat will slumber in sunlight.

I love the rare moments in wild, when chat is full of laughter and fun, reminds me of why i have this clan.

I also love watching you all interact with each other, there is nothing like friendship.

So sad to hear She was dearly loved by the Syrnia community and I hope she rests well.

Maranda was special. Even though she was always in pain, she would always put others first. She went out of her way to make you smile if you were sad, be and ear if you needed to vent. She was the wildest of the Wild ones, but she was also the sweetest of the sweet. The world is a little darker today, but we can find a little comfort in the fact that she is no longer in pain and she is with her beloved Rick and they are both happy together.

Maranda I love you, and I will miss the world out of you.

I would just like to offer my sympathy, and that of Choob to all those that knew Maranda and will mourn her passing.
While I never really interacted much with her, I was always impressed by how much others in this game greeted her sorties into World chat with joy and affection, and I am sure that her memory will never die in the hearts of those who cared for her.

This hurt. I'm shocked that she's just disappeared.

I never got to talk to her personally, but I knew she was one of the pinnacle people in this game. Highly regarded as a kind and gentle person.

Maranda was one of the first people to help me and show me kindness when I was a lowly newb. She was always respectful and welcoming, having visited WILD several times over the years. I cant imagine what this has done to the WILD bunch, but stay strong, for her. This one really really hurt, as a bright light of syrnia has gone out.

What a hit to Syrnia, two amazing people in one year.

Maranda was one of the nicest people I have met in Syrnia, always willing to give someone a go and often more than one go.
She has been a fantastic friend who was there for me when I went through the hardest thing I have ever experienced and helped by being herself and reminding me that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel if you just look up long enough to see it.
She was loyal to everyone she called a friend and had a wild sense of humour.

I will miss you Maranda, I can just imagine you sitting with Dreamer having a laugh the way would if you were here.

Wow. I know i'm a bit late to hear of this, but this is one of those things i think i could do without having to hear.

My condolences to friends and family. Even those who knew her here.

I've talked with maranda a good bit in clan and whispers, things that i've since decided not to share with others in games. I heard about some of the things in her life and that she had to deal with, and quite honestly, as cheesy as it may sound, it gave me some motivation. There are problems i've had and some that continue, that i thought were bad. Talking with someone who's had it worse, knowing they'll listen and try to advise you, just really helps. Sad to know she's gone and glad to have known her.

I am totally speechless to read this. There were times on msn that Maranda and I chatted for hours. I haven't been here for sometime and when I logged in today and was pointed to this thread, my 1st thoughts were 'no this isn't true!' I know Maz wasn't well, but she covered that by being a bright bubbly person in chat.

Maranda, one of my few Syrnian friends, i was blessed with the pleasure of knowing such a warm hearted, kind person.

Sad to hear for sure. I remember when Wild and whatever we were called at the time had a heated rivalry. It was all in good fun for us but Maranda couldn't stand it! She didn't want any confrontation at all. It was pretty much through her and others in that clan that if MUTED could ever feel love that might be the closest it gets.

I'm sure she is surrounded by the ones she's lost in a special place and that alone should give peace to those who are in mourning.

My heart goes out to all of Wild! for the loss of Maranda. Having had lost a few friends here myself I know just how hard that can be. Leopaulus and I argued and fought but became good friends in the end. Funny how after playing this game for years with someone you start forming bonds and relationships and it's never an easy thing to loos that.

I caught this forum post in one of my rare trips back to Syrnia so sad about the passing of Maranda so many kind messages and comments have been posted on here that anything I would put would be superfluous so all I will say is ditto and leave it at that.

If someone checked my stats right now, I joined yesterday about this time but six or seven years ago i joined this game. Reading that she passed away, made my heart skip a beat (not quite literally) and I'm sad to see that she's gone. I spent six months here- I was in Wild a majority of the time. People who pass on never really leave if they made in impact because somewhere,sometime they're still alive. I didn't know her then, and I don't know her now but I can faintly remember dreamer and Maranda. I've never been good with words when it comes to these things. I'm pretty sure i'm extra late in this *and* it would be hypocritical of me to say condolences but I quite want to... actually.
I remember seeing the Wild tag and when i saw her name i wrote this:
And memories of her came rushing in and stayed
A fleeting moment of familiarity then a stranger filled my vision
Her grace even in simply moving
Her starting intelligence and eloquence when she spoke
The inner strength to live even through the pain
And the determination to see things through to the end
Even the smell of her perfume tickled my nose but she had disappeared
This stranger, this ghost of the woman whose name escaped me but touched my heart

I feel crushed... I didn't even get to say good bye.

on behalf of wild and maranda i discussed it with karisade. Maranda will be included in the game syrnia quest 2 which is in development. i knew maranda for a while as well and she is greatly missed by all. she will be the spirit watching over the chapel in rose. yes i know it is a small thing but this will help her memory go on past syrnia. i would love to have her added to syrnia as a figure some where but m2h is hard to reach for these things.
