Hey

This thread has been created to provide players with a reference as to which Monster Combat Areas or individual Monsters they could fight based on their own Combat Levels and Maximum Health Points.

In addition to providing players with recommended Combat Levels and recommended Health Points, we hope it will help to reduce the amount of the most common combat related questions which appear the Game Help Channel [5] each day.

All Combat Level recommendations for each Monster or Combat Area are provided to give average Experience gains and average Food usage while training. If you train with higher Combat Levels you should see higher Experience gains and lower food consumption. It is possible to fight each Monster or fight at each Combat Area with a lower Combat Level, but you should expect to use more food.

All the Health Point recommendations are intended to help the player avoid being killed in 1 Hit by the Monster, Auto Attack Monster or highest level Monster at each Combat Area when the player has Full Health.

Please be aware that the info given in this guide is meant to be used as a reference only, and while we have tried to keep the details as reasonably accurate as possible, we cannot be responsible for any deaths.

You should prepare yourself for Combat with sufficient food and spare Armour, storing all your resources and valuables in your houses in case of death. Please note that if you die, your items fall to the ground for others to pick up

If you see any info which you feel is inaccurate, please forward a ticket to the Forum Department.

Combat Areas

This first section gives the recommended Combat Levels (CL), Health Points (HP), the Monster names/Auto Attack names and Monster Level for each of the Monster Combat areas.

The order in which Combat Areas have been listed are the recommended stages that you could choose to fight as you progress in Combat. Some areas have been divided, Skulls Nose and Ketil for example, as the different Combat links require different Combat Levels and Health Points.

The link to take you to commence Combat is shown as it appears in the Town/location screen in italics and you should take care that you wish to fight before you click it!

There are also Dinosaurs you can choose to fight at certain times in random locations.
Each "Round" has a 30 second Combat Timer.
These Monsters are also group fights, meaning other players can attack the same Monster. While in a group fight the Monster will attack one player at random, which can help you use less food, as you avoid taking damage while another player is hit by the Monster. You will still get to attack the Dinosaur, but you'll take no damage if it hits another player. If you are fighting alone then you will take every return hit as normal.

Having a high amount of Health Points is very important against Dinosaurs.

Individual Monsters

This section gives a recommended Combat Level (CL), recommended Health Points (HP), the Monsters name and Monsters Level during Quests and Invasions.

The Combat Level recommendations are listed as a priority for invasions due to prolonged and multiple fights.

The Quests monsters are also listed with a recommended Combat Level incase you can fight them in an invasion, and may include a lower Combat Level recommendation to fight them in limited numbers during the quest itself.

Bear in mind that while fighting individual Monsters the average damage may be higher, and therefore the Food used will most likely be higher than the random Monsters at each of the Combat Areas.

The recommended individual Combat Levels may differ from the recommendations in the Combat Areas section.

Captain Keehail has been known to hit as high as 90 damage, however if your health points reach 0hp you will not die or lose your items, you will instead be captured and taken to Crab Nest on Skull Island to become a pirate.

These monsters can also deal large amounts of damage with each hit, even when you're at higher Combat Levels, so are listed with reasonable minimum Combat level recommendations. Be prepared to use a lot of food.

Your recommended levels are way too low.

I can see this getting quite a few people killed mate, no offence.

Nice effort though, just need more information and a tweak to the recommended levels.

Grapefruit..if you got hit by 15, even by a bear, it would lead us to suspect that places such as Ogre Outpost and Sorer Lair would hit for 17+.

Be warned. A 17+ hit would nearly kill me.

Grape i can say that you getting hit for 15 in deep lemo, is a huge lie.
The most ive ever heard is 12.. saying that before that was 11.. only ever heard report of 12 myself.. from what ive seen in previous 'max hit' posts was 11.

We will all die with a rumour of a 17 hp hit.

On that note, you could go a little lower hp values for a lot of them; but what I really think is better is the recommended health so that even if you lag/turn away you will still be safe.

I think the recommended hp that was posted was a bit over the "max hit" most people claim, kind of as a buffer just in case.

Either way it's a great guide. You don't have to follow it like it is law but it is a good suggestion.

"not too low. I fought most of these critters at lower levels than what is posted."

Point is most of these recommended CLs to fight here are only safe for one hit.

Could easily lure people into a false sense of security when in fact if they look away for 30 seconds they could die.

Slight problem.. the your hp needs to be higher.. recommended hp is good, except that monsters can hit quite high, maybe not above the hp, but fighters will have to keep an eye on their hp, and ensure they have a constant supply of food...

This is just my opinion though..
