The Cooking skill in Syrnia is based on acquiring raw fish/meat or ingredients for two standard recipes (bread and cake).

However, this seems like a small list of things that can be cooked.

I would like to suggest a feature that extends this list into new food and products.

For example: Bread + Tomatoes + Cheese = Pizza
Another example: Frog + Eel = Magic Potion (temp boost of magic)

Cooking locations for these recipes can follow the precedent from the exist items, which would be Stanro and Thabis, as well as the possibility of expanding to new locations too.

Although there are some Celebration Island examples here, it feels like a missed opportunity to expand on a useful feature that can have its foundation in the Fishing and Farming skills.

I brought up a while a go in world chat probably 5 something years back about how cooking should expand after a specific level.

I think more complex cooking could be a thing after tier 100 where the multiplier for ingredients needed could increase to 3 or 4 and apply a stronger heal to fighters whilst offering cooks a much greater exp curve than the generic route.

Unfortunately Syrnia is very basic when it comes to combat, there is not a lot to offer to the game other than health recovery as the game just is not built in a way that you could add lingering effects or buffs from food.

there is nothing like it in magic so why would buffs from cooking offer what magic can not?

similar to smithing and general combat itself.

its a hard avenue to develop something new for the game whilst keeping Syrnia Syrnia because the foundation for a lot of concepts and idea is not theere even if the general idea seems easy or doable. there is a lot more to it than simply adding future buffs to cooked food.

So whats happened is, instead of expanding cooking its just increased the HP you get from cooked food which in turn makes future additions to more complex recipies rather redundant.

In response to the buffs Nero talked about... I think brewing could be a good avenue to buffs to training skills but for a certain time period. Not sure what the intention is for brewing, but I think this would be a logical next step for the game and it could be done with brewing.
Cooking is cooking though, not sure what else can be done with it.

I'm not sure my cooking level is high enough to have any room to talk here, but I don't think this would be a beneficial improvement to the game. Maybe more foods using several ingredients for a higher level heal.. but they keep adding islands with higher heals, so it doesn't seem necessary.
