| It’s that time again! Let’s take a look at where we stand after the last few months.
Bugfixes
Once again let’s take a look at the less flashy side of Syrnia development. We’ve continued to pour a lot of time investment into squishing bugs over the past 3 months.
Some highlights of these are:
- Setting a botcheck timer for any duration now correctly only applies to combat. For everything else it will use the longest duration you have unlocked via donations. We have also snuck in a new donation option to allow players to force a botcheck to appear.
- Technical limitations around Clan SHs has been resolved and can now be built on Calmere!
- Switching between F1M and Fight All now registers the last click.
Content
Over the past few months we’ve been hard at working bringing new content out. Let's take a look at some highlights!
- New gems added to bosses!
- Trading & Construction have been reworked adding some new benefits and easier to train!
- Fishers now have the ability to wield Harpoons!
- Daily Login Rewards - a new feature to unlock something each day!
- Release notes are now far more prominent and easier to read/find!
Lumara
Alright, this is what most people want to read about! How is Lumara progressing? Today we’d like to share with you that we are nearing completion of Lumara. Most of the work has been completed, and it is in the final stages of testing. We’ve spent a lot of time working on Lumara and really hope you all enjoy it as much as we’ve enjoyed making it!
As a highlight over the past few months you’ve worked with the researchers to find and share the recipe for smithing new fishing tools and a boat that will help once you reach Lumara.
Whilst not directly linked to Lumara you’ve also worked with them to find Novariet bars and worked together to unlock smelting and smithing them.

Pirate Overhaul
The next big topic for discussion is pirate overhaul. As stated in the last roadmap update we’ve split into 2 phases. Work has continued on phase 1. As a reminder, Phase 1 is to rip out the existing pirate code, and rebuild it with the outlook of providing a stable future base for pirates. We’re happy with the progress being made and are getting nearer to the time where we can share more details with everyone!

Final Notes
Our goal for 2024 has been to focus on player retention, to address this we have wanted to add new content for players of all levels with things like Daily Rewards, AC6 and Lumara coming soon. We have also started to look for a content writer to continue this trend.
We would like to add that we are dedicated to the long term strategy of providing improvements to Syrnia. This includes a myriad of other things as well as the major 2 topics listed above. Whilst we don’t touch on them directly we would like to mention that work is still on-going for these other projects. They will provide new content such as new bosses and new quests.
Whilst we don’t always hit the mark we hope this provides an outlook on where we are, and where we want to be!
