| So we currently have the option to unlock a 30 minute bot check frequency.
Im basically after a show of hands, who would like a longer bothcheck frequency and what do you think would be the pros and cons of having a longer botcheck?
If i could get responses in a similar format, that would be great.
Concept: Yes, i would love the ability to have upto an hour bot check.
Pros: enables players who are at work to play, without having to connect or watch, enabling the feasibility of being remotely competitive. Additionally this goes with those who have a more active or busier lifestyle. Also brings more cash in as it would be a donation feature.
Cons: I cant think of any.

| The only con I can think of is it doesn't benefit afk combatters. At the moment, depending on where you're fighting, you need to use the 15 minute botcheck in fear of coming back and finding yourself in Sanfew, despite having the option to use the 30 minute option.
I do like the idea and I'd probably love it if I wasn't focused on combat.

On a serious note, it would be welcomed but even then, my phone screen times out after 10 minutes of not touching it so the only people this really benefits is those who remote in through chrome remote etc; and the game already feels deadish for chat outside of holidays so mixed feelings.

| there are many apps that keep you phone open. I use Caffeine. For 3 years now. Phone screen is always on.
Ontopic: Yes pls. I would pay to have a longer botcheck. When I want to go afk, I move to mining , fishing etc.
The...no cause I might die in combat is not a valid point. You go do combat, you change the bot. EZ

| I am aware there's an app to extend, but for the regular person they aren't going to use an app for syrnia at work.
To add - I get alot of my gains on mobile, i dont want to see syrnia become so dead to where people remote in once per hour and logout of remote. That deletes all player interactions.

| G Bob, if you're replying to my comment about combat - I didn't imply the 1-hour botcheck would be mandatory. I'm aware you can change the botcheck frequency and I currently have mine set to 15 minutes for afk combat. What I am trying to say is that having a new botcheck option, whether that's 45 minutes or an hour is of no benefit to afk combatters because it won't be used due to the risks. Unless you're fighting a creature way below your abilities.
Players taking part in any other skill have a benefit over combatters in this specific update scenario. I'm not saying I'm against the idea, but I am saying that I believe it can be considered a con.
Shatter does bring up a good point. Another reason to make chat even quieter isn't going to benefit the community, particularly new players.

Am I against it? yes and No.
so if it was implemented I would not be against it I would probably use it but I feel there is one Con here that might just be me but ill voice it anyway.
Community Interaction.
I have monitored chats over a 6 month period and seen the same few names quite consistently, I feel the game is moving a lot towards AFK because that is the common play style however I do not think its looking at the lack of interaction.
I can see chats be quiet for hours and even then its 1 or 2 people that may break it with a couple of sentences to go quiet again for 30 minutes, the only time chat seems to really be active is around holidays or when there is a discussion about an element of the game that needs looking at.
this is a common theme with the 30 minute botcheck I fear if the hour one comes in we see less interaction new players come in and see quiet chats or littler interaction and just up and leave.
Once again i will reiterate I am not against the proposal but I would much rather look at means to drive interaction and community activities than introduce a means to make people quiet longer.
but this is all my personal opinions and thoughts on it.

| I'm ALL for a longer Bot Check- 1hr would be GREAT imo.
As for the Community, I have a couple of points on this;
1) Some people seem to think of World as a place to share Stock Tips and RL news, that's all well and good but a LOT of us have no interest in either. As I believe it was Plsd said in chat the other day, for many of us, Syrnia is about escapism.
2) Chat has been dying for YEARS, it's not going to matter. Those that are afk'ing all day long won't suddenly stop, they'll just have to input fewer Bots, period. That can only be a good thing.

| 30 is plenty. As Nero said, longer timers will only further lower the amount of community interaction.
In addition, as many of you know, skilling in the outlands doubles the botcheck timer (as a means of making travel and pvp safer I assume). A 1 hour botcheck out there doubled to 2 hours would just be stupid for skilling.

| I vote no you will get too many players sayin they died and its not their fault (I've seen it) invasion people getting thrown back in a fight, lot more deaths, But I'm seeing a lot of people that will die and say its someone else's fault. I don't see the positive side of these (I know I don't have time, but 30/ 15/ bot checked works for now I Don't see a point of changing it

However... are the people who chat on 30-minute bot checks suddenly just going to stop chatting if they have 1-hour bot checks?
If 15-minute checks were the maximum, would we /really/ have more people chatting just because they have to enter some numbers more often? I really don't know, but I can't imagine it would lead to a crazy-obvious decrease in community interaction.

Yes, you wouldn't even have to play the game at this point with the technology we have available. Remote in once per hour and log out of remote after hitting your bot and gain exp for an hour. I dont really see the "compete" side of this. I made it to 245 fishing just fine on mobile and PC. If you don't have time to play a game that's already AFK, then maybe you should check your real life priorities.
