I updated the invasions today.
Monsters invading a town give 1 extra exp then normal.
Invasions have a kill ranking now, the best 3 fighters will recieve an amount of gold when a city has been saved within the time limit. But they will not recieve gold if a city has been lost.
I have also added an Syrnia overview pop-up wich will show after logging in.
I am also adding some more donator features wich I will add to the donator list soon, 1 of them is extra stats at the overview pop-up.
Make sure your pop-up blocker does not block pop-ups from syrnia.com(!)

Thousands of rats are attacking Remer Island Saturday 30-07-2005 at 8 PM (20:00) GMT. (It is 21:00 Syrnia time)
All gather to defend the towns, because if the rats manage to settle there we will have to kill thousands more rats.
Double combat exp is gained during the invasions !
So use this event to train your combat level, and begin gathering food now. To check what time 8 GTM will be at your place use this link.
|28-07-2005 Invasions & Updates
NEW Invasions !
Invasions are random attacks on our towns, the attacker can be any monster wanting to takeover our cities.
Attacks will be announced in chat.
During an attack, or when a city has been taken over, you cannot use any of the city its resources.
If the attackers are not killed within the time limit the city has been taken over.
The enemy will then settle at the city and will be alot stronger.
Less xp and drops are gained while killing the invaders when a city has been taken over.
So..I have been pretty busy working on Syrnia again :-).
-I did a redo on the whole magic skill, there are no more time limits on upgrades, you can check the magic manual for the new levels for spells.
-I did a lot of bugfixes...
-..And I managed to half the lag we had ! I changed the chatsystem and it works like a charm !
And I'm very happy to annouce we are getting a new processor and connection for sure.
I don't know when exacly, but it's sure we will get it; An agreement has been made with a computer parts webshop.
|06-07-2005 New location, new armour, new weapons.
A new location has been added: The ogre cave.
Ogre armour and weapons have been added too, these cannot be bought in a shop and are not smithable.
The ogre armour and weapons are very rare...
The ogre cave can be accessed via The Outlands 35 and players cannot fight eachother in the ogre cave.
|05-07-2005 Changed exp and time
I changed exp and time on all skills.
Allmost all of the current levels have gotten a boost of around 140%.
Even though more time is needed to produce something, levelling will now go much faster than before.
It would have taken 7 years of 6 hours a day playing on the old system to get to level 85.
That will be alot less now...Although, this game is still not too easy ! Like the rest out there..:P
You can now also change your password at the OPTIONS in-game.
And you can recover your password at the mainpage.
I have updated the following:
Shops can be upgraded
You can now upgrade you shop slots.
Houses can be upgraded
You can now upgrade you house slots.
Travel with your own boat.
You can now use your own boat to travel; It is free, and faster than the regular boat trips.
Tools like hatchets, pickaxes, nets, rods, and hammers can now break. This should help moving the market a little.
Donator benefits have been added
If you donate using the 'How to support Syrnia' page you will now gain some small benefits. The benefits can be found on the support page.
These advantages do not give donators a advantage over normal players, and I will never make it like that too.
It's just a thanks from me to Donators. I can't explain how much I appreciate the donations !

Syrnia's speed has reduced pretty much lately because of all the traffic.
I am working on it and try to speed everything up as much as I can but I'm limited to it.
But everyone should know this lag has got my full attention.

You can now add people to your ignore list so you don't need to see their chat messages.
This should help calming down alot when people would start to argue.

|19-06-2005 Fighting updated
The fighting system has been adjusted.
-Food quick links have been added so food can easily be eaten.
-It takes 10 seconds before you can hit an enemy.
-Every strike takes 10 seconds, but you can eat as much as you want in between.
-It looks like fighting goes slower now, but: You can now also choose to attack all creatures in the area. You will automaticly continue attacking every time you killed 1 creature. And exp of some creatures has been raised too.
Why was this update?
-Fighters sometimes died while clicking on eating.
-Fighters clicked to speed up trading.
-Fighting had too much refreshes.
So fighting will now be even harder to train?
No there's more exp, and an option to 'auto-train'.

Today it's Syrnia 100ths day.
And we're having a little party....Ofcourse bot Party pablo returned to party too ;)
We have done pretty good !
-About 4500 players have registered in those 100 days.
-We got 450 active players.
-We have had many big updates in the meanwhile.
-Almost no problems at all !
-And more happy stuff.
Those first 100 days went great, the next thing Syrnia should do is grow, it just takes time :)

Farming has been addded !
After reading the many requests of farming as a new skill I began working it out.
Currently you can harvest 13 types of crops. I hope to be able to finish the farming manual soon.

Several people have asked me how they can support Syrnia, I've now added a sort of guide on how people can support Syrnia.
You can find it when you are logged in, on the left "How to support Syrnia?".
I think we can make this game grow alot now !
I made a few new addition to the game today.
-You can reach all of the island maps via the worldmap pop-up.
-Chat moderation has been added.
Moderator manda and me can mute people from chat, lock players in jail and ban people from the forum.
We can now finally assure you we keep the game clean of any weird people.
I've added the first forum moderator: Manda.
He will clean the forums now and then and will take care of the forum rules.
I will be adding chat moderation soon too, since it is really needed the last few days...
Please don't contact me about becoming part of the crew/moderators, I will pick out some good people myself :)

Even though I didn't add news items the last few days I did update Syrnia.
Most of the updates are small fixes or additions.
Active players should have seen the changes:
-Clan member list now shows clan members status and their locations.
-When fighting you see a HP bar.
-Rules have been added.
|08-05-2005 Gems & Manuals
To provide more gems for magic there now is a fair higher chance to mine gems in the outlands.
Today also new manuals have been added. Player Azzie has done a great job on the manuals, they are perfect. Many thanks to azzie for the manuals !
You will now be able to lean everything about Syrnia.
A new skill has been added: Magic.
This magic is all about enchanting weaponary and armour wich will give you benefits as: More armour/power/aim, less traveltime etc.
To start magic finish the Witch Bluebell and Witch Bluebell 2 quests. She will teach you magic.
The higher the level, the more you will be able to do.
Magic costs gems, therefore there are now 9 types of gems.
Player Azzie is writing some good manuals, and magic will be included too. So you will have detailed information about every skill soon.

-Added a new island, containing:
+A silver mine.
+A new place to fight, with new monsters.
+A new quest and a thieving guild !
Thieving has finally got a better way to train.
To qualify for the thieving guild you should do the thieving guild trail quest.
When you are accepted as a thieving guild member you will be able to do jobs for the thieving guild and learn all the thieving tricks.
The thieving guild jobs will make you thieve a random player within a time limit. The faster you do, the happier the thieving guild and the bigger your reward.
Another addition to quests & jobs is that when you die you fail on your quest/job and got to start it all over.
-Added a worldmap wich has got all the islands on it.
-Schools are cheaper now, thats why the current trading and constructing experience has been adjusted.
Furthermore: I deleted 100/200 users wich have never activated. (90% never recieved the activation mail because they filled in a false email adress)
Tomorrow I will also be cleaning other inactive users.
Also a reminder, anyone cheating will be deleted too, and not only during cleanups like this.
I've now added real quests.
The quest system is pretty advanced, and contains 2 little quests to start with.
We'll see how many more quests will be added :)
You can track all your current quests in the quests pop-up. Also jobs for the Friddik brothers are shown here.
And a small thing: Fixed the (deep) Lemo woods, monsters are random now.

Syrnia has moved to a bigger,faster server.
You should notice the different in speed :)
From now on every island has it's own jail:
Sanfew and Unera both have jails now.
