Underwater explorers in Madagascar say they have discovered treasure belonging to the notorious 17th-Century Scottish pirate William Kidd(c. 22 January 1645 – 23 May 1701)

On 11 December 1695, Belmont, who was now governing New York, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, asked the "trusty and well beloved Captain Kidd" to attack Thomas Tew, John Ireland, Thomas Wake, William Maze, and all others who associated themselves with pirates, along with any enemy French ships.
Kidds costs were to be met by taking 10% of the loot from ships they attacked.

His voyages were many and sometimes very distant, The Cape of Good Hope, Bab-el-Mandeb at the southern entrance of the Red Sea, one of the most popular haunts of rovers on the Pirate Round. The crew suffered Cholera and his quests were failing and his future as a Privateer seemed doomed so he then allegedly resorted to Piracy himself.

Legend had it that Capt Kidd hid much of his loot, which has prompted numerous treasure hunts all around the world and inspired author Robert Louis Stevenson when writing Treasure Island. He was well traveled and journeyed to many distant seas and locations

Capt Kidd was lured to a trap off Long Island, captured and brought back to London. He was found guilt of piracy and the murder of one of his crewmen during a row in 1697, and sentenced to death.

During his execution in Wapping in 1701, the first rope put around his neck broke, so he was strung up a second time. That rope also snapped, but the third one held. Afterwards, his body was dipped in tar and hung by chains along the River Thames to serve as a warning to would-be pirates.

It is understood that Captain Keelhail knows of some of these locations and is running amok with his Pirates to keep it concealed

Work is needed to create Pirates to search and defend, can you help in these adventures? There will be Skill Events prior to the confrontation and you are welcome to join in or not, the choice is yours!

Word has reached Serpenthelm that Captain Keelhail is planning a massive expedition to Syrnia to find Captain Kidd’s buried treasure, rumoured to be scattered all over the Islands

According to legend, Captain Kidd’s treasure map is said to lie buried on Burning Beach… and spies believe Captain Keelhail discovered its precise location on his recent one-man foray to Serpenthelm! The Syrnians must hurry to build forces to repel the pirate expedition.

These Scurvy Pirates are not Syrnian Pirates - they be interlopers!

Both Pirates and Mainlanders will have the chance to fight off Keelhails Pirates and discover the treasures for themselves.

And those of us on Kanzo, Anasco & Elven/Ogre? Will we have to go to Mains to find treasure?

At the very least thank you for the woodcutting event here.
