Recently I haven’t been as active with the development of Syrnia as I would have liked but felt it was important that I let the community know a little more about the development status of Syrnia. It is important to me however that I am honest with you and keep you in the loop as you the community are the life and soul of the game.

I started Syrnia way back in March 2005 as a hobby project for a bit of fun and back then I didn’t realise what it would later become to so many of you. Over the last few years Syrnia has surpassed all my expectations and become much more than the hobby project I intended to create, although times have changed I haven’t made Syrnia too much of a commercial game either. For those who aren’t aware, in addition to Syrnia I have lots going on in everyday life and am currently trying to build up my own game studio (www.M2H.nl) for which I create my own commercial game projects in addition to some freelancing on other game projects. This month for example I've been working on a new commercial game which is a little different but all the same very enjoyable (http://www.Cubelands.com - You're of course all welcome to check it out as soon as the public beta launches).

I want to assure you that I will do whatever it takes to keep Syrnia running smoothly and although I have not been able to dedicate as much time as I would have liked recently to updates etc I have spent many a night trying to deal with issues which may have put the site out of action. Keeping the game up and running is always a top priority. Obviously I hope you understand that my career and family life is also very important to me and must take priority over my hobbies, that said I will find time, hopefully soon to dedicate some more time to Syrnia and when I do first on the agenda are some of the bug fixes and the "All skill invasions" which I know you all want and deserve. Keep the suggestions coming in as I do try to read them whenever I get chance and I look forward to many more years with players enjoying Syrnia.
